Duration: 3–4 hours — general anaesthesia
Stay: 1–2 nights in hospital
Back to work: 3 weeks
Before surgery
We examine skin and muscle tone, take photos and measurements, and agree on the incision location. In the lead-up month we recommend core-strengthening and weight stability.
The day of surgery
Excess skin is removed, separated abdominal muscles are repaired with internal sutures, and the navel is repositioned. Flank liposuction is often added in the same operation.
After surgery
Drain is removed within a week. Compression garment worn for 6 weeks. All follow-ups and drainage massage sessions are included.
